Cryptographic Security & Smart Contract Safety
Evaluating the custody models, smart contract audits, and oracle protection protocols of Synapse Bridge.
Security Auditing
The security of cross-chain pools depends entirely on smart contract execution. Synapse Bridge smart contracts undergo extensive security audits performed by leading Web3 security agencies to verify they are free of reentrancy vulnerabilities and lockup bugs, adhering to NIST cryptographic guidelines.
Multi-Signature and sMPC Protection
Rather than using a single hot wallet, the vaults are governed by multi-signature systems or secure Threshold Network sMPC nodes. This divides cryptographic key generation across independent nodes, protecting deposits from malicious validators.
Proof of Reserves
To ensure absolute solvency, the contract holdings are publicly verifiable on-chain. Users can check the explorer records at any time to verify that every wrapped token in circulation is backed 1:1 by locked assets in the vault, verified against custodian systems like BitGo custody.
